TulsaWorld: Free iris biometric scans to be offered as part of Sears Safety Week

Free iris biometric scans to be offered as part of Sears Safety Week

Free iris biometric recognition scans will be available for children ages 5 to 17 and adults needing assistance as part of Sears Safety Week. The scans will be available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Sears store at 1901 S. Yale Ave.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office is helping with the effort.

The recognition scans are part of the Children's Identification and Location Database Project, a secure nationwide network and registry created in conjunction with the Nation's Missing Children Organization and
the National Center for Missing Adults. The project enables law enforcement and social service agencies throughout the country to locate and
identify missing children and adults with iris biometric recognition technology. For more information call 712-3011.
